On 15 July 2026, UAF UAVs targeted vessels of the Russian shadow fleet in the Black Sea as part of Operation ‘MoLoChKa’. The attacks were carried out with 27 UAVs, including a number of Fire Point UAVs, which struck oil tankers, gas tankers, and a tugboat.

Launched on 6 July 2026, Operation ‘MoLoChKa’ (Moscow Will Fall Through Crimea) is a maritime drone campaign targeting vessels associated with the ‘shadow fleet’ in the Sea of Azov. On 15 July 2026, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) commanded by Robert ‘Magyar’ Brovdi, expanded the drone operations from the Sea of Azov into the Black Sea. Maygar states that 116 vessels have been targeted during 9 days of operations (6– 15 July 2026). The attacks come as Ukraine intensifies its long-range UAV campaign against Russian oil refineries, contributing to a growing fuel crisis in Russia.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov condemned the attacks as ‘acts of terrorism’ against civilian shipping, while Ukraine states the vessels support Russia’s war effort, making them legitimate targets.
