On 16 June 2026, Colombian authorities recovered UAVs, BME, pistols and ammunition from a depot affiliated with the Jaime Martinez Front of the FARC dissidents. Two warehouses containing the equipment were discovered in the area of the San Juan de Micay River, Cauca Department, by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Army of Colombia and the Colombian Navy. DJI UAVs were recovered, including DJI Mavic 4 Pro and DJI Inspire 1 UAVs, in addition to 350 kg of explosives. The explosives were rendered safe in a controlled manner.
The joint forces were led to the warehouses following an encounter with armed men along the river. An exchange of gunfire between the two groups resulted in the assailants fleeing, prompting authorities to conduct a search of the area and subsequently seize the cache. The San Juan de Micay River is reported to have one of the highest concentrations of criminal groups in southwest Colombia, making this a significant blow to the capabilities of the Jaime Martinez Front.
