On 4 November 2026 at approximately 03:45, an attack with explosives was reported at the Media Canoa toll plaza, located in Yotoco Municipality in the Valle Del Cauca Department.
According to initial reports, two individuals onboard a red motorcycle arrived at the toll plaza and threw an explosive device. The explosive device damaged the upper structure of the infrastructure, specifically damaging the two lanes of the toll collection station. No injuries were reported. The Colombian National Police has launched an investigation into the attack and to establish whether the incident was linked to other attacks on infrastructure in southwest Colombia.
This incident follows a series of incidents involving attacks targeting transport infrastructure on roads in southwestern Colombia, more specifically in the Cauca Department.
